Overall it was a real good stay on this visit. The staff where really helpful and top-class. The location was excellant and unbeatable for walking around an open market. We greatly enjoyed the local cuisine in the restaurant.

Enjoyed Funchal, the hotel was first-rate at the boulevard. The staff were both very amiable and extremely patient. Its location was amazing, just next door to 6 different restaurants, the hill and cable car, bus station, beach. And it's not too far away from Taberna Ruel, ate there once or twice.

Enjoyed our stay, had peaceful 5 days overall. The restaurant was reasonably priced with a choice at breakfast of eating inside or out, we ordered splendid dishes. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and there were tea and coffee making equipment, a fridge, and kitchenware.

As for me location is stunning, close to the sea front in the Old Town near buses and cable car, quality restaurants and the Porto Santa Maria for a second time. There is restaurant Spot Garden Cafe, set 400 metres walk away.

Had a pleasant 7 night-stay from the moment I checked-in. The staff was top-class, extremely patient. The service was good and the food was great. The hotel had a very central location and it was a walking distance from Barreirinha Cafe. A market and a bakery were right next door. The restaurant was pleasant with a choice at breakfast of eating inside or out and for every budget.

My room was new-fashioned and newly remodelled with a balcony which was very nice. The location seemed marvellous next to funicular railway. It was also close enough to shops one restaurant, the Market and the elegant shopping area of Avenida Arriaga and all the local buses.
